
Paul Patty
Paul was called to the Bar in 2024, having been admitted as a legal practitioner in 2015. He maintains a diverse practice across regulatory matters, family law, domestic violence, child protection, administrative and public law, and crime.

Since coming to the Bar, Paul has appeared regularly in both parenting and property matters within the family law jurisdiction. He also prosecutes and defends regulatory offences at both the State and local government level, drawing on his extensive background in public sector litigation. In the child protection jurisdiction, Paul appears frequently as the Separate Representative, representing the best interests of children in complex and sensitive matters.

Prior to commencing at the Bar, Paul served as a Senior Lawyer with the Department of Environment, Science and Innovation (Qld) and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Qld). Throughout his career, he has appeared in a wide range of matters before the Queensland Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts, and has instructed in proceedings before the High Court of Australia and the Queensland Court of Appeal.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Business from the Queensland University of Technology. He practises in both Brisbane and Townsville and also speaks Greek.
